Barcelona’s league triumph last season, credited in part to star striker Robert Lewandowski and goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, is now overshadowed by concerns over Lewandowski’s recent performance dip. While the Polish striker has struggled to reach his previous heights, Barcelona is reportedly exploring potential exit routes.

Sport reports growing dissatisfaction within the club regarding Lewandowski’s form, leading some to believe that a summer departure might be the best course of action. Despite the striker’s contentment with Barcelona, there are indications that the club might proceed with an exit strategy.

In recent developments, Barcelona engaged with a Saudi Arabian agent through an intermediary to discuss a potential move for Lewandowski in the summer of 2024. Despite a previous €150 million contract offer last summer, the striker firmly declined. Barcelona is now reportedly open to a €30 million transfer fee, but with Lewandowski’s salary set to increase next season, they might consider accepting €20 million.

Conflicting reports about Lewandowski’s future have emerged, with some suggesting he will remain at Barcelona until at least 2025. However, Barcelona risks damaging their relationship with the striker if a deal is not finalized, reminiscent of the situation with Frenkie de Jong two summers ago
