Russian President Vladimir Putin, in a phone conversation with Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas, vowed to continue providing essential humanitarian aid, including medical supplies and equipment, to the Gaza Strip.

Putin emphasized the need for an immediate end to the violence and the resumption of political dialogue during this discussion, as reported by the Kremlin.

President Abbas highlighted the urgency of stopping the Israeli actions against Palestinians, advocating for a comprehensive ceasefire to protect civilians from the ongoing conflict.

He stressed the importance of prompt humanitarian assistance, emphasizing the need for a consistent supply of relief, medical, and food provisions, along with water, electricity, fuel, and support to prevent displacement.

Expressing gratitude for Russia’s political and humanitarian support, President Abbas thanked Putin for agreeing to deploy a Russian field hospital to Gaza.

Abbas also called for intervention to cease Israeli actions in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, condemning invasions, civilian harm, destruction of infrastructure, violations of religious sites, and acts of displacement.

Abbas reiterated that Gaza remains an integral part of the State of Palestine, opposing any division plans by the Israeli occupation. He urged for the release of Palestinian tax revenues held by Israel, affirming Gaza’s significance to the State of Palestine.

Furthermore, President Abbas outlined the Palestinian political stance, calling for Palestine’s full UN membership and an international conference to find a political solution within a defined timeframe and under international guarantees.

He also advocated for the establishment of a Palestinian government to oversee affairs in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and Gaza.
