An official in Cyprus reported that an Iranian plan to target Israeli businessmen was thwarted with the arrest of two Iranian asylum seekers.

These individuals were allegedly in contact with another Iranian linked to the Revolutionary Guard. They have been in custody since November 3, with deportation processes in progress.

The arrest was part of a collaborative effort between Cyprus and Israel’s Mossad. The two Iranians had been under surveillance for weeks and were apprehended just before the expected arrival of a group to execute the attacks.

The targets were mainly Israeli businessmen. The suspects’ contact, an operative for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, frequently traveled between the Turkish Cypriot north and the Greek Cypriot south of the divided island through the UN-controlled buffer zone.

The Palestinian Health Ministry has reported a significant rise in casualties, with 19,453 people killed and 52,286 injured in the Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7, according to Cairo News Channel.

Residents of Gaza are facing severe shortages, bordering on a complete lack of supplies, due to the imposed blockade.

The situation has hindered the arrival of aid and has left them unable to withdraw money from ATMs, which are out of service following the extensive incursion of Israeli military vehicles.
