Elon Musk confirmed during a political event in Rome that advertisers are making their way back to the “X” platform (formerly known as Twitter).

He also mentioned that Italy’s declining birth rate poses challenges for attracting investors.

Musk attended a political festival hosted by the “Fraternity of Italy” party led by Prime Minister Georgia Meloni, where discussions centered on combating illegal migration.

Addressing concerns raised by advertisers who left the platform due to issues like the proliferation of extremist content, misinformation, and harassment since his acquisition of the platform in October 2022, Musk said that he believes the situation on “X” is improving, with advertisers returning.

He further expressed support for legal immigration, emphasizing the importance of welcoming sincere individuals willing to contribute.

Musk stressed the need to address illegal immigration and mentioned that it cannot substitute for population growth, warning that a low birth rate could lead to a decline in the population.

Musk highlighted Italy’s low fertility rate as a concern for potential investors, stating that it could impact companies interested in investing in the country.

When asked if Italy is a favorable destination for investment, Musk gave a positive response while expressing reservations about the country’s low birth rate and its potential impact on the workforce.
