In a humanitarian effort known as “The Brave Knight 3,” the UAE Red Crescent Authority has distributed 1,679 food parcels to residents in the eastern part of Rafah Governorate in the southern Gaza Strip. This initiative, launched by the United Arab Emirates, aims to support the Palestinian people.
The distribution included 500 food parcels in the Al-Tanour neighborhood, another 500 in Al-Nasr neighborhood, and an additional 500 in the Khirbet Al-Adas neighborhood. Furthermore, 179 food parcels were distributed in the field hospital area.
A total of 10,242 beneficiaries received these food parcels provided by the UAE Red Crescent team.Additionally, 25 shelter tents were set up, benefiting 150 individuals in need of shelter.
The UAE Red Crescent Authority reaffirmed its commitment to stand alongside the Palestinian brothers and sisters in the Gaza Strip, providing support and enhancing their ability to cope with current circumstances while alleviating their hardships. On December 10, the UAE called upon the international community to support the Palestinian people during their difficult ordeal amidst the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
The UAE mission emphasized the importance of focusing on humanitarian crises linked to climate change and providing appropriate funding for these issues.
It also stressed the necessity of adhering to international humanitarian law, including facilitating the delivery of aid to those in need, to mitigate and sustainably address humanitarian crises.
The UAE had proposed a resolution at the United Nations Security Council on Friday, calling for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. However, the United States, a staunch supporter of Israel, exercised its veto power to block the resolution.
