In a tragic incident in the West Bank city of Jenin, Israeli forces reportedly killed two Palestinians and injured seven others, two of whom are in critical condition, according to the Palestinian health ministry. The casualties occurred during clashes that unfolded on Saturday, prompting concerns and condemnation.

According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, Israeli forces carried out a military raid on the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin, resulting in the death of a 25-year-old Palestinian physician, Shamekh Kamal Abu al-Rub. Fawaz Amad, the director of Al-Razi Hospital in Jenin, identified the victim.

Eyewitnesses recounted that Israeli soldiers surrounded a building near a school, urging those inside to surrender. Tragically, as residents emerged, the soldiers opened fire, leading to the fatal shooting of the physician and injuring two others, including Abu al-Rub’s brother, Mohammad. Abu al-Rub sustained gunshot wounds to the abdomen during the confrontation.

The incident has heightened tensions in the region, with concerns over the use of force by Israeli forces and the impact on the local population. The situation continues to evolve, with ongoing international attention on the broader Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
