Military statistics have revealed that 59 soldiers have been killed since Israel initiated its aerial assault on the Gaza Strip on October 27.

A spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces stated on Sunday that the number of Israeli soldiers killed since Hamas’s attack on Israel on October 7 in a border area has reached 380.

These figures include casualties on the Lebanese border, where frequent clashes have occurred since the war began, raising fears of an escalating conflict.

In comparison, during the 50-day Gaza war in 2014, 66 Israeli soldiers and five civilians were killed. The United Nations (UN) reported that 2,251 Palestinians were killed during the same conflict.

The Gaza Health Ministry recently announced that the death toll in the Strip has risen to 8,005, including 3,342 children, since October 7.

The Israeli military continues its operations against the beleaguered Gaza Strip, now enduring a 22-day siege. The number of victims of Israeli operations has risen to more than 8,000, with 20,000 others injured.

This ongoing conflict and its increasing casualties are a cause of growing international concern, highlighting the dire humanitarian situation and the potential for further escalation in the region.

A total of 15 Palestinians were killed in the early hours of Sunday following Israeli airstrikes on two homes in the Al-Nusseirat refugee camp and Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip.
