In recent developments, Lebanon has officially confirmed the toll from Israeli attacks that began on October 8th, reporting 77 fatalities and 251 injuries, based on hospital data.
According to Lebanon’s Ministry of Health, a total of 328 cases have been recorded, including the 77 tragic deaths. The ministry’s report highlights that 92% of the victims are male, 97% are Lebanese nationals, and 64% fall within the age range of 25 to 44 years old. The injuries encompass a range of causes, with 38% resulting from shock, 30% from explosion-related trauma, and 27% from chemical exposure.
Additionally, the report indicates that 26,232 people from southern Lebanon have been displaced as a result of Israeli airstrikes up to the ninth day of this month.
These numbers underscore the devastating impact of the ongoing conflict in the region, with Lebanon grappling with a growing humanitarian crisis amid the escalating violence.
