In a recent update, Israel has officially confirmed that 212 individuals are being held hostage in Gaza, as revealed by a statement from the military spokesperson on Sunday.

The region has witnessed a series of intense clashes, with Israeli strikes overnight resulting in the death of numerous Palestinian fighters, including the deputy chief of Hamas rocket forces.

On the northern front, Israel’s military forces have been actively engaging fighters attempting to launch missiles across the Lebanese border.

Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, in a briefing, disclosed that Israel successfully targeted a site in Lebanon responsible for launching a missile at an Israeli aircraft.

The number of hostages is expected to rise further as the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) intensify their investigation into the October 7th attack launched by Hamas.

Currently, the whereabouts of an additional 100 people remain unknown, raising concerns about the escalating tensions in the region.
