Primarily, the DC HC670 aims to offer optimal data center storage in HDD format. It boasts lower total ownership costs and employs Shingled Magnetic Recording (SMR) over conventional data recording methods.
Additionally, it incorporates a suite of technologies on a 10-disk platform. This includes OptiNAND™ tech, energy-assisted Perpendicular Magnetic Recording (ePMR), second-generation Triple Stage Actuator (TSA), and the proven HelioSeal® technology.
These enhancements collectively boost capacity by 18%. This provides businesses investing in cutting-edge tech with storage capacities surpassing conventional solutions.
