The Chinese Agency for International Development Cooperation announced on Thursday the Chinese government’s intention to provide emergency humanitarian assistance worth 30 million yuan (approximately $4.18 million USD) to Afghanistan to aid in earthquake relief efforts.
According to agency spokesperson Xiuwei Wei, the Chinese aid supplies primarily include tents, foldable beds, thick blankets, cotton jackets, quilts, and family first-aid kits. These supplies have been tailored to meet the needs of the Afghan side and will be transported to Afghanistan for distribution to affected locals.
Furthermore, it was clarified that China is also actively working on activating emergency food aid and other humanitarian arrangements previously allocated for the Afghan side.
