26 Israeli Military Officials Killed in Gaza Clashes

On Sunday, the Israeli military disclosed the names of the officers and leaders from its brigades who have been killed by Palestinian factions in settlements surrounding the Gaza Strip. This dramatic escalation amid the protracted conflict between Israel and Palestine has set a new stage for discussions on peace, war, and international relations in the region.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) radio announced, “Permission for publication granted… Among the military casualties in the Gaza envelope: Nahal Brigade Commander, Communications Battalion Commander, Deputy Commander of Maglan Unit, Company Commander, and Platoon Commander in the Home Front Command.”

Further, Channel 13 also reported, “The Israeli military discloses names of 26 soldiers and officers killed by Palestinian resistance around the Gaza envelope.”

In an audacious operation on Saturday, hundreds of members from Palestinian factions infiltrated adjoining settlements and towns in the occupied Palestinian territories, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of soldiers and settlers, as well as the capture of dozens.

The disclosed names and ranks of the 26 Israeli soldiers and officers are:

– Colonel Yonatan Steinberg, 42 years old, commander of the Nahal Brigade.
– Captain Adir Abboudi, 23 years old from Modi’in, a company commander in the Home Front Command.
– Captain Yotam Ben Best, 24 years old from Bat Hefer, a company commander in the Multi-Dimensional Unit.
– Sergeant Ofer Tzioni, 21 years old, from Mi’ilya, a section commander in Battalion 51.
– Staff Sergeant Adir Ben Simon, 20 years old, a section commander and military officer in the Home Front Command.
– Sergeant Or Asto, 21 years old from Be’er Sheva, logistics officer in Battalion 51.
– Lieutenant Colonel Sahar Mahluf, 36 years old from Modi’in, 481 battalion commander in the Communications Headquarters.
– Sergeant Afik Rosenthal, 20 years old from Kfar Menahem, a fighter in Maglan.
– Staff Sergeant Yanai Kaminka, 20 years old, a section commander in the Home Front Command.
– Lieutenant Or Moses, 22 years old from Ashdod.
– Sergeant Omri Neve Ferstein, 20 years old, from Yavne’el, a fighter in the Home Front Command.
– Corporal Dvir Lisha, 21 years old, a fighter in Battalion 51.
– Sergeant Eden Alon Levi, 19 years old, residing in Nir Etzion.
– Sergeant Yuval Ben Yaakov, 21 years old, resides in Kfar Menahem, a soldier in Battalion 77.
– Corporal Guy Pezack, 19 years old, resides in Yavne’el, a soldier in Battalion 51.
– Soldier Nerya Aharon Negri, 18 years old, resides in Talmon, a rescue soldier in the Home Front Command.
– Soldier Nama Buni, 19 years old, resides in Afula, a soldier in Battalion 77.
– Lieutenant Yiftah Yebets, 23 years old, resides in Ramat Hasharon, an officer in Maglan.
– Sergeant Ido Harush, resides in Mitzpe Ramon, a fighter in Battalion 77.
– Second Lieutenant Yoav Maliyev, 19 years old, resides in Kiryat Ono, a liaison officer in Battalion 77.
– Corporal Nathaniel Young, 20 years old, resides in Tel Aviv, a soldier in Battalion 13.
– Major Tzur Bukhris, 26 years old, resides in Ashdod, deputy commander of the Maglan unit.
– Captain Or Yosef Ran, 29 years old, resides in Itamar, a team commander in Duvdevan.
– Corporal Idi Groman, 19 years old, a gathering fighter in Battalion 414.
– Brigadier General Amir Fischer, 22 years old, resides in Tel Aviv, a fighter in Duvdevan.
– Lieutenant (Reserve) Ido Edri, 24 years old, resides in Yibtna, an infantry officer.
