The Palestinian Presidency has stated today that the U.S. administration is responsible for the “dangerous Israeli escalation” in Palestinian territories following the killing of two Palestinians in the West Bank and the injury of five Israeli soldiers in Tulkarm.
Nabil Abu Rudeineh, the spokesperson for the Palestinian Presidency, said in a statement, “The U.S. administration bears responsibility for the dangerous Israeli escalation, as it silently condones these crimes, issuing mere condemnatory statements without taking any action on the ground to halt this escalation.”
Abu Rudeineh called on the U.S. administration to intervene on the ground “to halt the Israeli aggression against our people, their land, and their sanctities before it’s too late.”
He added, “The daily war waged by Israeli occupation authorities against our people, cities, villages, and camps, the latest of which occurred in Tulkarm, resulting in the martyrdom of two young men and the injury of others, will push the region closer to explosion.”
On the Israeli side, the army reported that five soldiers were injured during the raid on the Palestinian camp. Three of the soldiers were injured due to the explosion of a hand grenade, indicating the volatility of the situation and the risks faced by both Israeli security forces and Palestinian civilians in the midst of this ongoing conflict. The developments in the region continue to be a matter of international concern, with calls for diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions and work towards a peaceful resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
