British Defence Minister Grant Shapps announced on Sunday that London would deploy its Typhoon fighter jets in Poland, citing the “need to protect its ally from Russia.”

Shapps stated during a Conservative Party conference that in response to Poland’s request, his country will deploy the Typhoon fighter aircraft to Poland to support our NATO ally against the growing threat of Russian interference.

He added that deploying fighter aircraft to Poland ahead of the elections is a strong signal that Britain supports freedom and democracy among its allies.

Poland is scheduled to hold parliamentary elections on October 15.

Furthermore, the UK defense minister revealed that London had signed contracts worth £4 billion with leading British companies to develop powerful attack submarines.

Shapps stated that The UK has signed contracts worth £4 billion with leading British companies to stimulate the development of the most formidable attack submarines ever used by the Royal Navy.”

Yesterday evening, the new British defense minister also disclosed that British forces would be deployed in Ukraine for the first time under plans being discussed with military leaders there.

This move aims to transfer a British-led official training program “to Ukraine” rather than relying on British bases and other NATO members.

In recent years, Russia has announced unprecedented NATO activity along its western borders. The alliance has expanded its initiatives, known as containing Russian aggression.

Moscow has repeatedly expressed concern about the alliance’s buildup in Europe, with the Kremlin emphasizing that the Russian Federation does not pose a threat but will not ignore actions that could jeopardize its interests.
