Jordan’s Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II attended the “First Jordan Cybersecurity Summit” today, a gathering organized by the National Center for Cybersecurity in partnership with the Information and Communication Technology Association (int@j).

The summit saw participation from representatives of governmental institutions, cybersecurity-focused companies from various nations and sectors, as well as financial and banking entities.

This event placed significant emphasis on international issues related to cyber risks, threats, collaboration mechanisms, and countermeasures.

It also sheds light on the cybersecurity policies, strategies, and experiences of various countries in addition to digital safety.

Bassam Al-Maharmeh, the President of the National Center for Cybersecurity, noted the growing cyber risks and their increasing impact on financial, social, and political aspects.

The convening of this summit in Jordan, a country with notable expertise in cybersecurity, will bolster its role as a leading regional center in this field.

He also highlighted the summit’s role as a platform for regional and international dialogue and cooperation.

Aied Al-Suweiss, Chairman of int@j’s Board of Directors, stated that around 450 participants engaged in 23 discussion sessions covering topics such as cloud security, data protection, and the influence of advanced technologies like artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things on cybersecurity.

This conference serves as a vital forum for addressing these contemporary challenges and opportunities.
