President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi of Egypt embarked on a visit today to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where he is set to meet with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE’s Armed Forces.
The leaders will focus on strengthening the already close bilateral ties between the two nations and will deliberate on various regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Ahmed Fahmy, the official spokesperson for the Egyptian Presidency, commented on the significance of the visit, noting the special nature of Egyptian-Emirati ties. He highlighted the collaborative and coordinated relationships the two countries share across multiple spheres.
