The official spokesperson for the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Algeria is prepared to offer logistical and emergency material assistance to its neighboring Moroccan people in response to the aftermath of the powerful earthquake.
This assistance plan is contingent upon Morocco’s acceptance.
The assistance package comprises an intervention team from the civil protection department, consisting of 80 specialized personnel, distributed as follows: a technical team specialized in search and rescue operations under rubble, a search and rescue team, a medical team, and humanitarian aid, including first aid supplies, tents, and blankets.
Algeria officially opened its airspace for humanitarian flights to transport aid to Morocco following the destructive earthquake that struck the central region.
The Algerian presidential office issued a statement expressing its readiness to provide humanitarian assistance and allocate all necessary material and human resources to support Morocco in response to the violent earthquake.
“In the wake of the powerful earthquake that struck regions of the Kingdom of Morocco, the Algerian authorities express their full readiness to provide humanitarian aid and allocate all necessary material and human resources, in solidarity with the fraternal Moroccan people, contingent upon a request from the Kingdom of Morocco,” the statement underscored.
