Arab foreign ministers applauded the persistent efforts of Egypt and Jordan to prioritize the Palestinian cause on the international agenda.
The ministers urged the international community to pressure Israel to enter into genuine peace negotiations, basing these talks on agreed-upon international standards.
This endorsement reflects the core importance of the Palestinian Cause to Arab nations.
The ministers extended their gratitude to Egypt for its historic and ongoing efforts to foster reconciliation among Palestinian factions. This is in line with the Arab mandate issued by the Arab League.
Egypt recently hosted a meeting of the general secretaries of the Palestinian factions in the city of El Alamein on 30 July, emphasizing Palestinian national unity.
The ministers also appreciated Egypt’s role in halting Israeli aggression and preserving Palestinian lives during Israeli offensives against the Palestinian people.
Arab ministers reaffirmed the centrality of the Palestinian issue for the entire Arab nation. They emphasized the Arab identity of the occupied East Jerusalem and the absolute sovereignty rights of Palestine over all its territories occupied in 1967.
The ministers reiterated their commitment to peace as a strategic choice to end the Israeli occupation and resolve the Arab-Israeli conflict in accordance with international law.
They maintained their adherence to the Arab Peace Initiative in all its elements and priorities, considering it the unified Arab consensual position and the foundation of any peace revival efforts in the Middle East.
The initiative stipulates that a prerequisite for peace with Israel and normalization of relations is the end of its occupation of all Palestinian and Arab lands.
The establishment of a fully sovereign independent State of Palestine along the 4 June 1967 lines with East Jerusalem as its capital, ensuring the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people.
