Tunisia & UAE Strengthen Economic Cooperation

High-level discussions have taken place between Tunisia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with the aim of bolstering investments across various fields. 

Tunisian Minister of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Fisheries, Abdelmonem Belati, engaged in talks with UAE Ambassador to Tunisia, Eman Ahmed Al Salami, to explore collaborative opportunities in the agricultural sector.

The focus areas included water treatment and desalination, horse breeding, and advancing investments in both public and private sectors.

Belati, as per today’s statement, emphasized the urgency of catalyzing investments in Tunisia and transforming proposals into tangible projects.

He expressed his keenness to amplify the export of olive oil and dates to the United Arab Emirates.

On her part, Ambassador Al Salami conveyed her country’s readiness to foster cooperative ventures with Tunisia.

She highlighted the significance of joint efforts to confront challenges related to food security, particularly within the context of climate change.
