The Government Media Office in Gaza announced on Monday the death of 95 journalists since the beginning of the Israeli conflict in the Gaza Strip.

This follows the recent killing of journalist Haneen Al-Qatshan in an Israeli airstrike targeting her family’s home in the Nusseirat refugee camp, central Gaza.

Our correspondent reported on Monday the death of journalist Asim Musa in an Israeli airstrike in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza Strip.

About a week ago, the International Federation of Journalists issued a report counting the deaths of 94 journalists and media workers, including nine female journalists, in 2023 alone.

The report highlighted that 68 journalists have been killed since the beginning of the conflict in Gaza, averaging more than one killing per day.
