The Israeli military spokesperson, Daniel Hagari, announced on Tuesday that their forces have launched attacks on several Hezbollah targets in Lebanon.
In a press conference held on Tuesday evening, Hagari claimed that Hezbollah has turned Southern Lebanon into a warzone.
Hagari further disclosed, “Today, we announce the death of 9 soldiers who fell in battles in Gaza.” He also pointed out that the Israeli military and government are closely monitoring the fuel entering Gaza and how it is being utilized within the region.
Moreover, Hagari asserted that the Houthi attacks are Iranian terrorist operations that have no connection with Israeli ships.
The statement from the Israeli military spokesperson has heightened tensions in the region, bringing attention to the ongoing conflict and its complexities.
Earlier this December, Hezbollah targeted the Israeli military site of Matula, located opposite the eastern sector of southern Lebanon, with rockets.
The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported that an anti-tank missile was fired near Matula without causing injuries and that the Israeli army responded by firing rockets at Hezbollah positions in return.
The Israeli army spokesperson, Jonathan Conricus, stated that Hezbollah has launched ‘more than 1000 different types of ammunition, rockets, shells, drones, mortar shells, and others towards Israel’ since October 8th.
He warned that ‘Hezbollah is dragging Lebanon into an unnecessary war that could have devastating consequences for the state of Lebanon and its people.’
