The Russian Ministry of Defense has reported that approximately 570 Ukrainian soldiers were killed in operations by the Russian Armed Forces as part of their special military operation over the past 24 hours. The spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Defense, Major General Igor Konashenkov, provided the following details in a press briefing on Sunday:
On the Kupyansk front: 7 enemy attacks were repelled, with about 55 Ukrainian soldiers killed and two vehicles destroyed.
On the Krasny Liman front: 3 enemy attacks were repelled, with about 80 Ukrainian soldiers killed, three vehicles and artillery pieces destroyed.
On the Donetsk front: 2 enemy attacks were repelled, Ukrainian forces were shelled, resulting in about 310 Ukrainian soldiers killed, and a tank, two armored vehicles, 7 vehicles, artillery pieces, and a rocket launcher destroyed.
On the South Donetsk front: An enemy attack was repelled, Ukrainian forces were shelled, resulting in about 70 Ukrainian soldiers killed, and two vehicles and a cannon destroyed.
On the Zaporizhzhia front: Ukrainian forces were shelled, resulting in more than 30 Ukrainian soldiers killed, and two vehicles and a cannon destroyed.
On the Kherson front: Ukrainian forces were shelled, resulting in about 20 Ukrainian soldiers killed, and four vehicles destroyed.
Additionally, Russian air defense systems intercepted a “Tochka-U” tactical missile, two missiles from HIMARS launchers, and 43 Ukrainian drones in various regions in the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics and the Kharkov, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions. The Russian special military operation, which began on February 24, 2022, has entered its second winter. The operation aims to protect the residents of Donbas, who Russia claims have been persecuted and subjected to genocide by the Kyiv regime for years.
Russian forces have thwarted the Ukrainian “counter-offensive,” despite significant financial and military support from NATO, Western countries, and Washington’s allies to the Kyiv regime.
During the operation, Russian forces have destroyed much of the equipment the West had relied on, including German “Leopard 2” tanks, numerous American and British armored vehicles, and tanks and machinery provided by NATO countries, which were ultimately destroyed in Russian strikes.
Over a year after the start of the operation, many voices in the West are calling for a halt to supporting the Kyiv regime, which they accuse of misappropriating funds and sending its soldiers into a battle it knew from the start was doomed to fail, based on promises made by Britain and America.
