The US Central Command highlighted a significant drug seizure in the Arabian Sea. Two photographs were released on Thursday, vividly showcasing the intercept of hundreds of kilograms of heroin and cannabis.

The announcement was made on the official page of the Central Command on the ‘X’ platform (previously known as Twitter).

The statement read, “The British warship, Lancaster, currently supporting the French-led Combined Task Force 150, seized approximately 450kg of heroin and cannabis in the Arabian Sea. The estimated value of the confiscated drugs exceeds $9.5 million.”

Continuing their commitment to maintaining a safe maritime environment, the Central Command emphasized the dedication of the naval forces, comprised of 38 nations and headquartered in Bahrain. They remain steadfast in their mission to halt criminal and terrorist activities, ensuring freedom of navigation, and apprehending those who break the law.

The operation serves as a reminder of the importance of multinational naval collaborations in maintaining regional stability and tackling illegal activities on the high seas.
