In a police operation conducted on Saturday morning at the University Campus in Zografou, Greece, situated to the east of the city center, three individuals, including two foreign nationals and one Greek, were apprehended.
The operation, primarily focused on the dormitories, was launched following a string of arson attacks in the vicinity, which resulted in extensive damage to numerous vehicles.
Law enforcement authorities seized various items during the operation, including twenty-seven empty beer bottles, suspected to be intended for making Molotov cocktail bombs, along with eleven wooden sticks, four flashbang grenades, two tear gas canisters, five helmets, a gas mask, two full-face hoodies, a laptop, a miniature camera, a charred Greek flag, a pair of gloves, three banners, and an assortment of handwritten notes and materials associated with anarchism.
The suspects are currently in police custody, and investigations are ongoing to determine their involvement in the arson attacks and any potential links to anarchist groups.
