The Ukrainian armed forces revealed, this Tuesday, a dramatic surge in the number of Russian casualties since the onset of the Russia-Ukraine war on February 24, 2022. The reported figure stands at a staggering 273,460, of which 520 were killed just this past Monday.
In an official statement published on its Facebook page, which was cited by the Ukrainian National News Agency “Ukrinform,” the Ukrainian General Staff detailed their military achievements. According to their data, Ukrainian forces have successfully destroyed 4,628 tanks, 8,851 armored combat vehicles, 6,062 artillery systems, 778 multiple rocket launcher systems, 526 air defense systems, 315 aircraft, 316 helicopters, 8,601 vehicles and fuel tanks. Additionally, the Ukrainian military claimed the destruction of 20 warships, one submarine, 4,784 drones, 903 pieces of special equipment, and 1,479 cruise missiles.
Amidst this backdrop, Ukrainian forces claimed to have intercepted 27 out of 30 drones launched by the Russian army over Ukrainian territory just the previous night.
Moreover, sources indicate that Russia has fired an “Iskander-M” ballistic missile from the Crimean Peninsula, targeting the city of Kryvyi Rih in southern Ukraine.
However, it’s essential to note that these figures cannot be independently verified.
