Egypt’s agricultural exports totaled 4,118,871 tonns from January 1 to June 1, up from 3,512,569 tonnes during the same period last year, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation El Sayed El Quseir has announced after receiving a report from Head of the Central Administration of Plant Quarantine (CAPQ) ِAhmed el Attar.
The country’s top agricultural exports were citruses, potatoes, fresh onions, sweet potatoes, pomegranates, garlic, strawberries, beans, guava, tomatoes, and grapes.
The exports included nearly 1.845 million tonnes of citruses, 786,468 tons of fresh potatoes, 281,729 tonnes of onions and 54,169 tonnes of beans, according to the CAPQ report.
