Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko reported a tragic incident in the Kramatorsk area of the Donetsk region, where two individuals were killed and three others injured while extinguishing a fire, amid repeated Russian shelling.
The Ukraine Forum news agency relayed Klymenko’s statement, identifying the deceased as Oleh Martynenko and Bohdan Ravlyk, aged 29 and 31, respectively. The three injured rescuers are currently receiving medical treatment.
Klymenko emphasized the bravery of the rescuers, noting that they were unarmed and risked their lives to save others. The incident underscores the perilous conditions under which emergency responders operate in conflict zones.
Additionally, the Ukraine Forum reported that Russian forces injured 19 civilians in the Donetsk region on March 3rd, highlighting the ongoing dangers faced by residents in the area.
On 3 March, there were 68 instances of conflict between Ukrainian forces and Russian troops along the front lines.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff, as per Ukrinform’s latest update on the situation.
The Ukrainian Air Force launched strikes on seven groups of Russian soldiers during the day.
Meanwhile, Russia conducted 5 missile attacks, 44 air raids, and 54 assaults with rocket launch systems targeting Ukrainian military positions and civilian areas. The total count of military clashes for the day stood at 68.
The situation continues to be challenging in the eastern and southern regions of Ukraine. There has been no change in the situation in the Volyn and Polissia areas, with no indications of offensive group formations.
