The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported that two soldiers were injured in a shooting incident near the town of Azzun, east of Qalqilya, in the West Bank.

The announcement was made by the IDF shortly after the incident, which was covered by Cairo News.

The shooting incident comes amid heightened tensions in the region. Recently, the IDF reported the death of an officer in the Gaza Strip due to the accidental detonation of a hand grenade.

The officer, Sergeant Mordechai Kadmon from the town of Nof Ayalon, was killed in the incident, which occurred while he was with several other troops but not engaged in active military operations.

The IDF has initiated an investigation into Sergeant Kadmon’s death to determine the circumstances surrounding the grenade explosion.

This incident underscores the ongoing volatility in the region and the persistent security challenges faced by Israeli forces in both the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
