Security forces in Pakistan have eliminated 12 militants in intelligence operations in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces.

On April 5th, security forces conducted a search operation in the Dera Ismail Khan area, targeting terrorists.

Following an intense exchange of gunfire, eight militants were killed. Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were found in their possession, as reported by The News, a Pakistani newspaper, on Sunday.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistani Army, stated in a press release that a clearance operation is underway to eliminate any remaining terrorists in the area. Security forces are determined to eradicate the terrorism threat in the country.

Security forces also conducted a search operation on Friday in Panjgur, Balochistan. Based on intelligence information, two terrorists were killed after a heavy exchange of gunfire.

A cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was discovered. The remaining terrorists were killed in subsequent operations.

The slain militants were involved in terrorist activities targeting security forces and innocent civilians.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif emphasized that the Pakistani Army is committed to completely eliminating the scourge of terrorism. He added, “Our fight against terrorism will continue until it is completely eradicated from the country.”
