A total of 1,184 children have gone missing since the Russian military operation began in February of last year, according to the Ukrainian police.
The Ukrainian National Police’s press service stated, “As of today, September 6th, 1,184 children are considered missing,” as reported by the Ukrainian news agency “Ukrain Form.”
Additionally, the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office reported that as of September 5th, 503 children died while 1,120 others have been injured as a result of the ongoing war.
On a separate note, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced today that it successfully thwarted all attempts and attacks by Ukrainian forces, inflicting significant casualties in terms of both lives and military equipment.
The statement, as reported by the news channel “Russia Today,” indicated that at least 600 Ukrainian soldiers were killed, and numerous military vehicles have been destroyed.
The Russian air and space forces reportedly conducted a precision long-range strike against a Ukrainian training base affiliated with Ukrainian forces during the previous night.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, ordered a special military operation in Ukraine on February 24th of the previous year, claiming it was in response to a request for assistance from the leaders of the Donetsk People’s Republic and Luhansk People’s Republic.
Putin emphasized that Moscow had no intentions of occupying Ukrainian territory but aimed to disarm the region. In response, the United States and its allies imposed strict sanctions and increased military aid to Ukraine.
