In a nationwide campaign, Saudi Arabia arrested 20,093 foreign violators of residency, labor, and border security laws within a week, according to the Interior Ministry.
The arrests included 12,460 violators of residency laws, 5,400 border security violators, and 2,233 labor law violators, as detailed by the ministry.
A total of 11,655 violators were deported from Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi Interior Ministry has repeatedly warned that those who aid infiltrators by providing entry, transportation, shelter, or any assistance face severe penalties. These penalties can include up to 15 years in prison, a fine of up to SR1 million, confiscation of transport and accommodation means, and public naming and shaming.
Saudi Arabia, with a population of around 34.8 million, hosts a significant number of migrant workers.
