Yemeni Minister of Industry and Trade, Mohammed Al-Ashwal, met with his Moroccan counterpart, Riad Mezzour, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and coordination in the commercial sector between the two countries.
According to Yemen’s official state television channel, Al-Yemen TV, the ministers engaged in discussions on Tuesday, focusing on methods to boost comprehensive and sustainable industrial development in the region. The dialogue also covered the development of cooperation with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) to maximize the benefits from various programs and projects, and to exchange expertise in achieving sustainable development goals.
Both ministers emphasized the need to increase the volume of trade exchange between Yemen and Morocco. They also recognized the importance of establishing a mechanism to ensure coordination among businessmen and investors, serving the mutual interests of both countries.
This meeting marks a significant step in fostering economic ties and shared development strategies between Yemen and Morocco, reflecting a broader regional interest in strengthening economic partnerships and sustainable development initiatives.
