The World Bank is actively supporting 14 development projects in Egypt, contributing approximately $6.9 billion. The projects span various sectors such as education, health, sustainable infrastructure, social protection, social housing, local development, financial sector, and the environment.

The collaboration aligns with the new strategy for 2023-2027 and reflects the ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation between Egypt and the World Bank.

During a workshop held by Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation and Governor of Egypt at the World Bank Group, discussions focused on the progress of ongoing projects, periodic assessments, and preparations for the annual meetings of the Bank. The World Bank team presented details of technical support projects aimed at building capacities in various ministries and national agencies, including finance, local development, environment, planning, and the Information and Decision Support Center of the Council of Ministers.

The Minister of International Cooperation emphasized the importance of translating the results of diagnostic reports, such as the Egyptian Economic Monitor and the Climate and Development Report, into development cooperation projects and programs to maximize benefits for Egypt.

This collaboration underscores the commitment to achieving sustainable development goals and addressing key challenges in Egypt.
