The United Arab Emirates (UAE), in collaboration with the Royal Jordanian Air Force, has successfully carried out the fourth joint aerial drop of food aid over the northern Gaza Strip, as announced by the UAE Ministry of Defense.
This operation, part of the “Al-Fares Al-Shahm 3” initiative, marks a continued effort by both nations to provide humanitarian and relief assistance to the Palestinian people, particularly in areas of Gaza difficult to access by ground.
During this latest mission, the UAE contributed a substantial 40 tons of food aid, demonstrating the scale of commitment to supporting those in need within the Gaza Strip. This operation follows closely on the heels of the “Birds of Goodness” mission, another significant aerial drop conducted by the UAE and Egypt, which delivered 90 tons of aid, marking it as the largest operation since the initiative’s commencement.
To date, the “Birds of Goodness” operation has successfully dropped a total of 664 tons of food and relief supplies over isolated areas of northern Gaza, underscoring the expansive scale of the humanitarian effort.
The UAE has ramped up its aid efforts during the month of Ramadan, channeling support through a coordinated effort involving both governmental and non-governmental entities, including the Emirates Red Crescent, the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works, the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and other humanitarian organizations within the country.
These aerial aid drops reflect the deep-seated commitment of the UAE and its partners to alleviate the humanitarian situation in Gaza, providing vital support to those impacted by isolation and conflict in the region.
