Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has launched the “Mother’s Endowment” campaign, to honor mothers in the UAE by establishing an endowment fund worth one billion dirhams.

This initiative seeks to sustainably support the education of millions of individuals worldwide.

Coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan, the “Mother’s Endowment” campaign is founded on the principle that a mother is the first school in life.

She builds and nurtures generations, equipping her children with essential knowledge needed in life. The fund serves as a perpetual charity in honor of mothers in the UAE.

The campaign aims to honor mothers by providing an opportunity for anyone to donate in their mother’s name to the “Mother’s Endowment.”

It also strives to support individuals, through education and training, in less fortunate communities. By bolstering the educational process across various academic, professional, and vocational levels, the campaign offers sustainable opportunities to enhance the quality of life and elevate the circumstances of individuals.

This empowers them and prepares them for current and future job markets, contributing to the stability of their communities and driving development across various sectors by building and training a productive workforce.

Furthermore, the “Mother’s Endowment” campaign aims to instill values of filial piety, affection, compassion, and mutual support within society.

It highlights the role of the Emirati mother in fostering a family environment conducive to educating children. Additionally, the campaign seeks to reinforce the UAE’s position in charitable and humanitarian work by providing a sustainable endowment that ensures educational and empowerment opportunities for less fortunate groups or those lacking access to necessary resources worldwide.

In a post on the “X” platform, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum stated, “Brothers and sisters, a blessed month is upon us.

As per our annual tradition of launching a Ramadan humanitarian campaign from the people of the Emirates, we introduce today the ‘Mother’s Endowment,’ an educational endowment worth one billion dirhams as a perpetual charity for mothers in the UAE.”

His Highness added, “Paradise lies at the feet of mothers… and the path to paradise. We invite everyone to participate in this endowment, young and old, men and women, to bring joy to our mothers, please our Lord, and observe our month in goodness, love, and mercy. May God protect the UAE and the mothers of its people.”

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum emphasized, “Knowledge is hope and action. Knowledge is a better life… Knowledge is the building of humanity and the elevation of nations.

Our role in the UAE is to contribute to providing knowledge, hope, and life to people wherever they are and to contribute to creating a more beautiful future for nations and societies.”
