The UAE, through its humanitarian initiative ‘Operation Gallant Knight 3’, has distributed emergency aid, date parcels, and drinking water gallons to displaced Palestinian families residing in shelters in Khan Younis.
This support comes in response to the challenging conditions and infrastructure destruction in the city, leading to a severe shortage of potable water.
‘Operation Gallant Knight 3’ aims to alleviate the suffering of displaced families who have been forced from their homes due to ongoing conflicts.
Organised distributions of dates and hundreds of gallons of water were made to ensure they reached as many families as possible, receiving widespread praise from the beneficiaries.
The grateful families expressed their profound appreciation for the UAE’s humanitarian support, as reported by the Emirates News Agency “WAM” on Friday.
In total, the UAE’s ‘Operation Gallant Knight 3’ has delivered 80 tons of humanitarian and emergency aid to the Palestinian families in Khan Younis struggling due to the severe conditions and lack of basic necessities and water.
The initiative also focuses on addressing the water crisis in areas with resident and displaced populations.
It has successfully conducted a water distribution campaign benefiting over 70,000 individuals and is currently collaborating with the Khan Younis municipality to repair water lines and tanks.
This effort aims to provide a permanent and sufficient water supply to prevent humanitarian disasters and diseases.
UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimy emphasised that achieving security, stability, and peace in the region hinges on a fair and sustainable resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Al Hashimy advocated for a political process leading to a two-state solution, allowing for an independent Palestinian state to coexist peacefully with Israel under international agreements.
The UAE remains committed to providing urgent humanitarian aid to Gaza, driven by its historic support for the Palestinian people.
