The discussions took place in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, where Sheikh Mohamed – on a two-day state visit to China – and his delegation were warmly welcomed by President Xi.

During the talks, both leaders highlighted the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the UAE and China as an opportunity to celebrate the progress made in economic cooperation, cultural exchange, and international collaboration over the past four decades. They expressed their commitment to further strengthening these ties in the coming years.

The leaders exchanged views on several regional and international issues, emphasizing the importance of global peace and stability and resolving conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy. They underscored the significance of international collaboration in addressing common global challenges.

Sheikh Mohamed and President Xi also discussed the situation in the Middle East, stressing the need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, the protection of civilians, and the provision of sustainable humanitarian aid. Both affirmed their support for regional and international efforts to achieve calm and avoid further tension.
