Tunisia’s Civil Protection Team have announced the recovery of 113 bodies from under the rubble in Derna, as a preliminary outcome of their humanitarian mission to support efforts to address the disaster in the city.
Tunisia’s Civil Protection Team published on social media platforms pictures of the rescue work carried out by its teams, in addition to the meeting of representatives of the Tunisian relief team with the coordination cell of search and rescue teams from Turkey and Tunisia.
Additionally, the team executed 580 medical aid operations and 78 water-pumping missions.
Tunisia’s Interior Ministry, in a press release on Thursday, clarified that these operations took place between the 13th and 20th of September. The statement went on to highlight that the dispatched team to Libya has returned after concluding its essential rescue and relief operations, showing unwavering support to the Libyan people.
