Tunisia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tunisians Abroad, Nabil Ammar, reiterated his country’s commitment to Egypt’s security, stating, “We support Egypt and any decisions aimed at preserving its safety and well-being.” He emphasized Tunisia’s respect for the sovereignty of all nations and its non-interference in any country’s internal affairs.

Minister Ammar made these remarks during a special interview with the Middle East News Agency on the sidelines of his meeting with representatives of foreign news agencies accredited in Tunisia. He stated, “We maintain continuous communication with the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to address common Arab issues in general and the Palestinian cause in particular, given the current developments. There are ongoing meetings and constant contacts.” He also underscored the depth of Egyptian-Tunisian relations across all levels.

Highlighting the importance of Arab unity on all issues, particularly the Palestinian cause, Minister Ammar asserted, “The Palestinian issue will be resolved through Arab unity at all levels.” He reaffirmed Tunisia’s unwavering and clear support for the Palestinian cause and its stance in favor of all Arab states.

Turning to Egyptian-Tunisian relations, Minister Ammar stated, “Egyptian-Tunisian relations are in continuous development, with political relations and consultations in complete harmony.” He described the relations between the two nations as fraternal and distinguished by their deep-rooted and robust nature. He concluded by characterizing the cooperation between Tunisia and Egypt as fruitful, with relations extending to profound historical roots. The ongoing communication between the High Joint Committee, ministerial committees, and subcommittees has contributed to the development of cooperation in various fields and the advancement of bilateral interests between the two countries.
