The Tunisian Cabinet has given its green light to a draft law concerning the approval of a guarantee agreement signed last July between Tunisia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development. This agreement paves the way for a loan to the Tunisian Electricity and Gas Company to help finance the electric interconnection project with Italy, as well as the development of renewable energy systems.

In a statement, the Tunisian Cabinet announced its approval of several bills with economic and social implications, including the financing agreement between Tunisia and the European Investment Bank aimed at funding educational institution programs.

The Cabinet also consented to a bill approving the enhancement of relations between Tunisia and South Korea, reflecting Tunisia’s broader strategy to expand its international partnerships and modernize its infrastructure.
