Sweden has deployed 800 soldiers to the borders of Russia and Latvia, marking the first such deployment since 200X.
The deployment comes amidst reports of an explosion on the Russian railways in the Ural region, which has resulted in casualties and injuries.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of a meeting site for Ukrainian military unit leaders and a control center for drones, stating that Russian missile forces, artillery, and drones had struck these targets.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces reportedly suffered over 60 casualties, including fatalities and injuries, and the destruction of a drone control center and a field ammunition depot.
This escalation of tensions in the region has prompted Sweden to take precautionary measures by sending troops to its eastern borders, along with its NATO ally, Latvia. The situation remains fluid, and international observers are closely monitoring developments in the area.
The deployment of troops by Sweden underscores growing concerns over security in the region and highlights the need for continued diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions between neighboring nations.
