The Sudanese Military have firmly denied claims that they acquired K8 fighter jets from Egypt.

In a statement issued yesterday, the Sudanese military clarified that it has owned squadrons of K8 aircraft since the early 2000s, having purchased them directly from China.

This acquisition occurred well before the current conflict, according to the Sudan News Agency (SUNA).

The military further stated that there is no need to rely on any friendly nation to procure additional K8 aircraft, as these planes are primarily intended for pilot training.
