Saudi based company ‘Kier’ has recently announced the signing of a contract 48 million Riyals ($12 million), with the ‘National Electricity Transmission Company’. This contract entails the implementation of a connection project at the Al Aridh Central Station in Riyadh which will operate at a voltage of 132 kilovolts.
According to a statement released on the Saudi Stock Market (Tadawul) website ‘Kier’ will be responsible for carrying out cabling works for the 132 kV high voltage system. Additionally they will handle the installation of protection, communication and remote control systems for the station. The duration of this contract is set at 21 months.
It is expected that this new agreement will have an impact on ‘Kier’ evident in its results from Q1 2024 until Q4 2025.
This recent development follows another contract signed by ‘Kier’ last month with the ‘Saudi Electricity Company’. Valued at 246.97 million Riyals ($65 million) this previous agreement focused on executing a connection project, for the Nazeem Central Station located east of Riyadh also operating at a voltage of 132 kilovolts.
