Saudi Crown Prince Plans Expo 2030 with International Bureau

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reviewed Saudi Arabia’s preparations for hosting Expo 2030 in Riyadh during a discussion with Dimitri Kerkentzes, the secretary-general of the Bureau International des Expositions, on Wednesday.

Dimitri Kerkentzes expressed his honor in discussing the event’s preparations with the crown prince via a post on the social media platform X. He emphasized that the BIE and Saudi Arabia will collaborate closely to ensure the success of Expo 2030, aiming to benefit the Kingdom, the region, and globally.

Riyadh emerged victorious over South Korea and Italy in the bid to host this prestigious event, securing the selection with a significant majority of 119 out of 165 votes from BIE member states in November 2023.
