In a significant crackdown on drug smuggling, the Saudi Border Patrols operating in the Dhahran Al Janoub sector of the Asir Region have arrested four individuals for breaching border security protocols. They are charged with smuggling a whopping 37 kilograms of cannabis.

The suspects were apprehended with the illicit goods, and initial legal procedures have been completed against them. They, along with the seized cannabis, have been handed over to the competent authorities for further action.

Security agencies are urging the general public, both citizens and residents, to be vigilant and report any information they may have about activities related to the smuggling or distribution of narcotics. Anonymous tips can be submitted through several channels:

– Dial 911 for regions in Mecca, Riyadh, and Eastern Province.
– Dial 999 for other regions in the Kingdom.
– Call the hotline of the General Directorate for Narcotics Control at 995.
– Email tips can also be sent to [email protected].

All reports will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.

The Border Patrol’s latest operation in the Dhahran Al Janoub sector of Asir Region highlights the relentless efforts by Saudi Arabian authorities to combat drug trafficking and secure the nation’s borders. With the public’s assistance in reporting any suspicious activities, authorities aim to put a halt to drug smuggling and ensure community safety.
