Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met with a delegation of US senators in the Red Sea resort of Alula on Sunday, discussing bilateral relations and other areas of mutual interest.
The senators, who were led by Mark Warner, chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, also included Angus King of Maine, John Cornyn of Texas, Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, Chris Coons of Delaware, and Mark Kelly of Arizona.
The meeting was attended by Saudi Ambassador to the United States Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan, Riyadh’s Deputy Governor Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Minister of State and Cabinet Member Advisor to the National Security Dr. Musaed Mohammed Al-Aiban, and Director General of the General Intelligence Presidency Khaled Ali Al-Humaidan.
The US delegation was accompanied by US Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Michael Ratney.
In a separate development, the Saudi Crown Prince called Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, the newly appointed Prime Minister of Kuwait, to congratulate him on his appointment.
Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah expressed his gratitude for the Crown Prince’s warm sentiments.
