The 13th Saudi relief plane operated by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) arrived at the Polish Rzeszow Airport, located near the Ukrainian border.
The plane carried 80 tons of relief aid supplies, including electric generators and appliances, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The aircraft will cross the Polish border into Ukraine as part of the Kingdom’s commitment to supporting people in need and those impacted by crises and difficulties across the world.
Last month, the Arab country sent a plane with more than 140 tons of relief materials, including electrical generators, electrical appliances, and infant milk formula.
The Ukrainian ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Anatoly Petrenko, on behalf of the Ukrainian people and government, expressed in a statement to “Al-Sharq Al-Awsat” their deep appreciation for the humanitarian assistance provided by the KSrelief
Anatoly continued that this package of assistance is strong proof of the permanent partnership between the two countries and the continuous and firm Saudi support for Ukraine per international law, and it confirms Arab humanity and generosity.
Bloomberg recently reported that President Joe Biden’s administration is exploring the possibility of allocating $200 million from the Pentagon’s budget to aid Ukraine.
According to sources cited by the agency, the funds could be used to cover the costs of weapons and ammunition for Kyiv, though a final decision has yet to be made.
Last month, the US Senate, with Republican support, adopted an alternative version of a bill proposing $95 billion in aid for Ukraine, as well as for Israel and Taiwan.
