The dialogue also covered topics related to their collaborative efforts within the BRICS consortium, which includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military has intensified its aerial and ground operations in the Gaza Strip, following the unexpected offensive launched by Hamas on October 7.
The ongoing airstrikes have resulted in a significant loss of life, with over 10,000 casualties reported, including 8,306 Palestinians and 1,538 Israelis.
Despite mounting pressure and calls for a cease-fire, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu remains steadfast, categorizing such a move as a “surrender” to Hamas.
He emphasized that the current circumstances call for warfare, rejecting the idea of a cease-fire.
The Saudi Foreign Minister had a phone conversation with Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs Nasser Bourita, discussing the grave developments in the Gaza Strip and its surrounding areas.
The two ministers emphasized the critical role the international community needs to play in preventing the forced displacement of Gaza’s residents and putting an end to the military escalation that has exacerbated the suffering of the sector’s unarmed civilian population.
In a related context, the Prince also conducted a telephonic conversation with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Dr. Ayman Safadi.
The two officials explored ways to intensify communications with influential international parties, pushing for an immediate cessation of the military escalation.
