State Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cabinet Member Adel al-Jubeir met with the Special Representative of the European Union for the Arabian Gulf region, Luigi Di Maio, in the Belgian capital, Brussels, yesterday.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the Kingdom and the European Union, exchanging views on regional issues and the Kingdom’s efforts to maintain the security and stability of the region.
Al-Jubeir also met with Belgian Minister of European Affairs, Foreign Affairs, and International Trade Khadija Lahbib.
The two sides discussed bilateral relations, areas of cooperation between the two friendly countries in all fields, including environment and climate, ways to develop and enhance them to serve the common interests of both countries. They also discussed regional and international events, the latest developments in Gaza and its surroundings, and support for all efforts to halt the escalation of military operations.
Al-Jubeir also met with the EU Special Envoy for the Middle East Peace Process, Sven Koopmans. During the meeting, they discussed developing joint cooperation between the Kingdom and the European Union, as well as the developments in Gaza and its surroundings.
They emphasized the Kingdom’s consistent stance on the Palestinian issue and its call for the implementation of international resolutions related to the two-state solution.
