Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet has reiterated its commitment to energizing the peace process initiated by the Kingdom in collaboration with the Arab League, the European Union, Egypt, and Jordan. The goal is to achieve security and stability in the Middle East through the foundation of an independent Palestinian state, based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in line with international resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
Saudi Minister of Media, Salman bin Yusuf Al-Dawsari, in a statement disseminated by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), indicated that this affirmation was made during a council session today, Tuesday, in Neom. The session, chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, also reviewed the outcomes of Saudi Arabia’s participation in the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly and multiple multilateral meetings held on its sidelines.
These interactions reflected Saudi Arabia’s active role and efforts in achieving sustainable development goals, addressing global challenges, resolving regional crises, and fostering security and peace for the world’s populace.
Furthermore, the Saudi Cabinet re-emphasized the Kingdom’s stance presented at the International Atomic Energy Agency’s general conference held in Vienna. The Kingdom supports bolstering international cooperation for harnessing nuclear technologies for humanitarian benefits and the importance of implementing the provisions of the Non-Proliferation Treaty. This is with the vision of a world free of nuclear weapons, especially in the Middle East region.
